For some hotels, yes, you can check a box on our Room Finder tool to filter for known connecting rooms.
However, our data is far from perfect. You will not find this option available for all hotels, and while we're pretty certain that the rooms we have marked as "connecting" are indeed connecting rooms, we are not confident that all the remaining rooms are necessarily non-connecting.
The problem is that much of our room information comes from Disney, itself, and the speed that we get that information and how complete it is can vary greatly. Giving us accurate info on connecting rooms seems to be something that Disney is hesitant to do, but we will keep trying.
In the meantime, we would suggest requesting a room that is in a location that you like and adding a comment asking to be placed in a connecting room nearest to the requested one. To do that, once you pick your requested room, go back to your dashboard (the page that pops up when you navigate to TouringPlans.com while signed in) and click the button in the center that says "Configure Room Request." Within that window you will see a space for a note.
If you are making a request for the second room that you want to connect to, also add your confirmation number into the note in that room (and theirs in yours) so that the room assigner can link those together. Disney will always conform to requests for connecting rooms (in case it's kids and parents) so you won't have to worry about that, it's getting both in the area that you want is the tricky part.
